| Lily, a 12 year old Belgian Mare that
recently joined us from New Holland PA, the last stop for
horses before they are sent off to the slaughter houses. We
know very little about this 18 hand 1700 lb girl accept that Lily
was "dropped off" at the feed lot after serving her time
as a working (drive) horse. Thanks to Christine and Jamie of
Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue Lily's life was spared. Michelle
fell in love and that's all she wrote. Lily has a permanent
injury that would basically render her useless. She can no
longer drive and couldn't handle any real riding, for
Michelle and the members of Second Chance she is "perfect &
flawless and will have a home forever".
